The 34R08-1 is a very unique tool.   This tool is designed for the precision cabinet & furniture repair.   Pull the spring back and slip over the top the the extruding nail.  Let the spring go and see the nail drive 1/8" inch below the surface of the wood.   Then putty the hole and never see the nail again.   Will not mar or damage wood surface.
